First Group Meeting

Today we all got randomly allocated into our groups. I am with Otto, Bea and Mia W. Mia was absent so it was just the three of us. We first said how it was important that we all keep an open mind with our ideas and allow each other to fully explain what they are thinking and then allow others to input their ideas. I started with reading through my ideas and we decided that my idea 2 would be really good but because it is a sensitive subject it would have to be handled with care and need some really good actors so we thought it would be a bit too much. Idea 4 we decided that while everyone liked the idea the party setting would be too difficult to replicate. Personally I said that my favourite is my idea 1 with the two girls because it has a good balance of some gentle emotional connection shots with action and a darker atmosphere shots. Bea's favourite was idea 3 with the girl whose sister died and she investigates her death but she inputted that she thought it would be good if the creepy guy was a jock and the opening title sequence had shots of the world spinning for him after a failed attempted suicide and then he kidnaps the sister and it turns out she is still alive or something following that line. She also suggested that with my idea 1 she thought it would be better if it was simplified a bit so you had the shots with their hands touching interspersed with close up shots of the exorcism that happens later in the film rather than the shouting match with the parents.

Overall I think it was a very successful first meeting and we established that we would be honest with each other and give constructive criticism and accept that everyone will have different opinions and that is ok we just to remain calm and sort through disagreements like adults.
