Location Research

Blog post written by me but research by all

For my groups location, we started off planning to film half the sequence in a bedroom and the other half outside in the woods. This idea got quickly shut down by Adam and Tom as they said the weather was unreliable at this time of the year. We then as a group decided we would be better off filming in one room for the whole sequence. We decided we are going to rearrange the room to be more convenient and film the fort and exorcism at different times. First we will build the fort and film all the footage for the fort shots and then set up the room for the exorcism and shoot all the footage for that.

My group and I discussed possible locations for this and decided we would consider Caitlin room at home and the single rooms at Beatrice Webb house. We knew filming at Beatrice Webb could be more convenient as its only a 5 minute drive compared to Caitlin room which is a 35 minute drive away, meaning we would lose a hour and 10 mins from day of filming.

After we spoke about our possible locations, I went back to Beatrice Webb and Caitlin went back to her house and we sent in the images of possible rooms we would use.

Here are the options

BEATRICE WEBB HOUSE- These are the two rooms we are considering in Beatrice Webb.

We decided on the room above ^^^^^^

CAITLIN ROOM- This is Caitlin room at her house.

In todays lesson my group and I decided to go with a Beatrice Webb house room. The reason we did this is because even though Caitlin room is more homey, we though it was too much of a waste of time to go all the way there and then remove all of the objects surrounding her bed. The Beatrice Webb room is easier to get to and is already plain, which gives us the opportunity to do whatever we need to the room.
