Today we spoke to Tom to sort out the practicalities of our idea. We decided to change the setting from the woods to a den they made in their room with duvets, blankets, pillows and fairy lights, becuase the weather would be unpredictable. We could make the den in the studio or in the room we decide to shoot the exorcism in to show the contrast of how mood can change in the same space. We decided that at this point in the girls relationship it is after they had the internal realisation that they have feeling for each other and they are tentative about making a move and as the sequence progresses they get more confident and closer together. Our whole piece is focused on contrasting moods, emotions and atmospheres. We want this to accuratley represent lesbian relationships in the 90s and we found external research that we based the exorcism on a true story of a girls extremely religious parents who got the church to attempt to exorsice her lesbianism.
