Idea 2
Main story line/plot:
About mental health and the severity of it while still showing the audience that recovery is possible and that things do get better. This whole section of the story is told with cuts to a therapists office as she tells the therapist the story. A girl with sever depression has a suicide attempt but her parents find her and rush her to hospital where she gets revived, because it was such a serious attempt she just manages to get into cahms and there is a scene where they tell her she isn't exercising enough and that she should have more cups of tea etc because that is an accurate representation of what cahms is like. A scene where her best friends notices her scars and she opens up about how she is strugling and her friend comforts her. She comes home at one point and walks up to her room where she gets straight into bed she is fine for a moment but then breaks down. Her mum comes up the stairs and tells her that he siblings are going to tennis and that she has to join them for the 'fresh air and exercise' she refuses and the argument just increases with the mum asking her what she is supposed to do if she doesnt want to help herself and that she doesn't understand and then she says that she can't go because if she goes then she won't be able to hold on and she will go as well. They hug but you can see the girl trying to hold in her sobs over the mums shoulder. Because cahms didn't work her family send her to a private therapist who is nice but is just very into spirituality and doing yoga and helping you go to your happy place which doesn't really work. Then we cut to her new therapist who she is getting along with and telling the story to, at the end of the session the therapist says that they should continue seeing each other but she is going to refer her to a phsychiatrist. We then follow her story to the psychiatrist where she gets diagnosed with sever depression and prescribed medication. There is a few montages of her mood throughout the next weeks while she is on the meds and we see that the first one prescribed had bad side effects so they had to start again but the second one appeared to work well. We see her slowly getting better, becoming more social, still a few shots of her crying, she starts smiling and making her bed, cleaning her room and finally packing for university. Still fighting becuase the fight never goes away but she knows that she will live and enjoy life.
